Telus conducted an online promotion called the "Big Picture Contest" on June 19 and 20. The initiative was in support of the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone. Telus established a location in Toronto at which three local artists drew pictures on the screen of the phone while live cameras transmitted their efforts to a website at <http://www.telusbigpicture.com>. Visitors to the website were invited to guess the image from a word bank. The first user to correctly guess the image during each round won a Galaxy Note. The contest consisted of nine rounds on each day. In addition, non-winners who answered correctly were entered into a draw for a Galaxy Note at the end of each day. As part of the promotion, Telus donated $20,000 to the Learning Through the Arts program of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
