Sponsorship roundup

PepsiCo Foods Canada has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with the Winnipeg Jets hockey team to make its Lay's brand the official potato chip of the team. As part of the sponsorship, PepsiCo has begun a contest in Manitoba called "Hometown Heroes." During the year-long promotion, residents can nominate individuals who have made a positive impact on their communities at <http://www.lays.ca/hometownhero>. One nominee per Jets home game will receive a pair of tickets to the game as well as in-arena recognition. "We couldn't be happier to have Lay's on board as the official potato chip sponsor of the "Winnipeg Jets," said Jim Ludlow, president and CEO of True North Sports & Entertainment.  "This is a very exciting partnership opportunity for our organization and we look forward to working with Lay's over the next five years to bring our fans a lot of fun and enhanced home game experiences."

RBC Royal Bank has signed-on as the principal and presenting sponsor of the Montreal High Lights Festival, which will take place from Feb. 16 to 26, 2012. "I am very pleased with this new association between RBC and the Montreal High Lights Festival," said Michael Fortier, vice-chairman of RBC Capital Markets. "It will enhance our corporate image on the Montreal scene and most certainly be a source of pride for all our employees."
