Tim Hortons begins hockey cup promotion

Tim Hortons has begun a hockey-themed promotion involving a series of collectable reusable cups. For a limited time, consumers who purchase a package of Timmies Minis will receive one of seven cups displaying the mascot of a Canadian NHL team. The teams include the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Edmonton Oilers, the Calgary Flames, the Vancouver Canucks, the Ottawa Senators, the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation.
“At Tim Hortons, hockey has always been a part of our DNA,” said Alex Macedo, president of Tim Hortons. “We're happy to be able to give our youngest guests a fun way to show their support for their favourite teams and a great way for families to give back to their community.”
