Tim Hortons, Marvel Studios conduct Deadpool promotion

Tim Hortons and Marvel Studios recently conducted a promotion in support of the studio’s new film Deadpool & Wolverine. It consisted of a social media video in which the Deadpool character, portrayed by actor Ryan Reynolds, discusses the movie while drinking Tim Hortons coffee. Tim Hortons will also sponsor the Canadian debut screening of the movie in Toronto this week.
“We were thrilled to work with Marvel Studios Canada and Ryan on this video and to be a part of the Canadian launch of Deadpool & Wolverine,” said Hope Bagozzi, chief marketing officer at Tim Hortons. “Like Tims, this movie is so Canadian in so many ways. The Deadpool character is from Saskatchewan and Wolverine is from Alberta, and the movie is directed by Montreal-native Shawn Levy. We all thought we could have some fun bringing Canada’s favourite coffee and Canada’s favourite super hero together.”
