Mars Canada conducts Pedigree Adoption Drive
Mars Canada is conducting a promotion in support of its Pedigree pet food product line called the "Pedigree Adoption Drive." The program is being managed by Speed Experiential Marketing in association with Ignite Activation. The goal of the campaign is to depict shelter dogs as good dogs and to encourage Canadians to help them by adopting, donating and volunteering. Between Sept. 14 and Oct. 1, events will take place in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Halifax and Vancouver to provide information about adoption. The initiative also includes a series of online videos in which dog owners describe their experiences with adoption. These are located at <http://www.mypedigree.ca>. "Each stop on the tour is essentially an educational opportunity, as well as a feel good connection with the consumer, the makers of Pedigree and the community at large," said Edgar Apse, director of strategy at Speed.
