MacLaren McCann Direct & Interactive hires Sweetman

Toronto-based MacLaren McCann Direct & Interactive has appointed Bill Sweetman vice-president of Internet strategy, a newly-created position. Sweetman most recently ran his own electronic business consulting firm, called Kalixo. Prior to that, he was a partner at electronic marketing firm Delvinia. He has worked on interactive marketing campaigns for Alliance Atlantis Communications, CBC, Dupont, Enbridge Gas Distribution, Harlequin Enterprises, Pfizer Canada and RBC Royal Bank. Sweetman also founded MultiMediator, a guide to the Canadian interactive industry, and co-founded the Canadian New Media Awards.
