PepsiCo readies Lay's campaign

PepsiCo Foods Canada has begun a campaign called “Betcha Can't Pick Just One” in support of its Lay’s potato chip brand. The campaign, which will begin during the broadcast of the Super Bowl game on Sunday, features hockey player Mark Messier. This will be the first time in 10 years Messier has acted as the brand’s spokesperson. The initiative begins with a television commercial called “Casting Call.” The ad depicts an audition at which actors attempt to pick only one flavour of potato chip.
“People often ask me what my favourite Lay's flavour is and I honestly can't pick just one,” said Jess Spaulding, chief marketing officer at PepsiCo Foods Canada. “We know this is true for many Lay's fans and we brought Mark back for another iconic ‘Betcha’ campaign to test this theory.”
