CCM Hockey and Scotiabank have begun a joint initiative called the Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Learn to Play program. The program is intended to increase participating by girls in the sport of hockey. According to the companies, the initiative will work to provide a positive experience for girls, increase grassroots participation in the game, collaborate with local organizations to increase registration in girls' hockey and make the sport more accessible for girls of various ages.
“Growing and making a more inclusive game of hockey is a key priority for CCM and we are excited to be able to do that in collaboration with Scotiabank that shares the same passion for the game as CCM,” said Marrouane Nabih, chief executive officer of CCM Hockey. “We look forward to the upcoming events and building a foundation for girls of all ages to explore our sport.”
