Air Canada resumes Fan Flight promotion

Air Canada has begun an expansion of its "Fan Flight" promotion, tied to the airline's sponsorship of several NHL teams. Consumers participating in the initiative can receive flights and tickets to see their home team play in another city. Consumers can enter online or at in-arena installations. The promotion also includes public relations, social media activities, print materials and radio ads. The campaign this year will feature Air Canada employees providing hospitality services to sports fans.

"One of the most exciting parts of Fan Flight is how we are increasingly involving employees in the program," said Andy Shibata, brand managing director of Air Canada. "Hundreds of pilots, flight attendants mechanics and support staff will not only attend our game-day promotion nights, meeting fellow fans, but also help host our winners. It's this one-on-one, human connection with Air Canada that really differentiates 'Fan Flight,' and our employees do this better than anyone."

Air Canada is the airline sponsor of the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Winnipeg Jets.
