Quebecor readies QUB Radio

Quebecor of Montreal is preparing to launch a new service called QUB Radio that will be available online or via a mobile application. It will provide users with access to live radio shows as well as a collection of podcasts. The service can be accessed at <http://www.qub.radio>, or through the websites of the Journal de Montréal, Journal de Québec or TVA Nouvelles. Users can customize the content to reflect their interests. QUB Radio will official launch on Oct. 15.
"Digital audio is a growing part of the Quebec media landscape," said Mathieu Turbide, vice-president of digital content at Quebecor. "Quebecers are changing their news and entertainment consumption habits, and we have to stay on top of these technological innovations. That's why we're introducing this digital radio offering, along with a podcast production and broadcasting platform, all designed to leverage our team's strengths and diversify our audiences."
