Unilever hires Ariad for Popsicle brand

Unilever has retained Ariad Custom Communications of Toronto to be the lead marketing agency in Canada for its Popsicle brand. The firm will develop a marketing program for 2010 for the line of frozen snacks. "The talent at Ariad is evident," said Shoshana Price, brand building manager at Unilever. "In a previous Unilever program they blew me away, so when it came time to pick an agency Ariad was the one." Ariad worked on the brand this summer with a campaign for Popsicle Slow Melts called "Summer Slow Down," which consisted of in-store materials, sampling programs and online activities. Ariad will handle the account in collaboration with public relations firm Harbinger and Cartier Communications, which holds the account in Quebec.
