Making the Connection, CFL, continue fitness challenge promotion

Cardiovascular health awareness organization Making the Connection is conducting its "CFL Challenge" promotion in association with the Canadian Football League for a sixth year. During the promotion, pairs of Canadians can sign-up for a personalized action plan intended to improve heart health at <http://www.cfl.ca/makingtheconnection>. Those who do will also be entered into a contest. Eight pairs of winners will receive personal coaching from a CFL player and a personal trainer. The prize also includes a trip for two to the Grey Cup game in Montreal on Nov. 23. Other prizes include gym memberships and home fitness equipment. The winners will be selected by a judging panel of health professionals based on the progress they have made with their online plans. One pair will be selected from each CFL market. "This year's edition of the challenge continues to connect our fans to their favourite players and promote healthy, active living," said Rob Assimakopoulos, senior vice-president of marketing and commercial assets for the league. "It's a compelling and unique program because it takes the thrill of a player/fan connection and gives it a solid purpose, focused on positive results."
