The City of Toronto has approved a ten-year naming rights agreement with telecommunications company MTS Allstream for the new conference centre at Exhibition Place. The venue, which is being constructed around the facade of the former Automotive Building, will be called the Allstream Centre. In addition to the naming rights, the agreement includes Allstream exposure on signage and marketing materials, as well as the establishment of a product showcase area. In addition, the company will provide telephone service for the building. "Our goal with this relationship is to inspire visitors to consider new communications technologies that will transform how we conduct conferences and business in general in the years to come," said John MacDonald, president of the enterprise solutions division at MTS Allstream. The deal was brokered by Wakeham & Associates Marketing of Toronto. MTS Allstream is a subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services.
