The Junction BIA readies Window Wonderland

The Junction Business Improvement Area of Toronto is preparing to resume a promotion called “Window Wonderland” for a third year. The initiative takes the form of a free “art walk” through the neighbourhood from Nov. 25 to Jan. 1. Consumers will be able to view 24 augmented reality presentations such as animated windows and wall murals. The promotion is being conducted an collaboration with AR mobile application Artivive, which specialized in the viewing of artworks. Restaurant Isaan Der Authentic Thai Kitchen has signed-on as the presenting sponsor of the walk. In addition, the BIA and Articulations Art Supply will host a related indoor exhibit from Nov. 25 to Jan. 6.

“We're thrilled to be hosting ‘Window Wonderland’ for the third consecutive year and to have received financial support from all three levels of government,” said Carol Jolly, executive director of The Junction BIA. “We have 40 talented artists who will transform our streets into a magical outdoor gallery and inspire creativity throughout our community. To make this year's event even more spectacular, we've partnered with the City of Toronto Outdoor Mural and Street Art Program to create two new murals that will also be animated during ‘Window Wonderland’ and beyond.”
