MasterCard begins Stanley Cup contest

MasterCard Canada has begun a national promotion called “Canada Goes to the Cup.” From March 1 to April 30, when a consumer uses a MasterCard to pay for a purchase he or she will be entered into a draw for one of 13 trips for two to a 2007 Stanley Cup Final game. One winner will be selected from each province and territory. The contest is being supported with national television advertising created by McCann Erickson of New York, as well as radio and print advertising produced by MacLaren McCann of Toronto. French-language adaptation and media buying was handled by Marketel of Montreal. Promotional development and online materials were handled by Armstrong Partnership of Toronto. Public relations are being conducted by Environics Communications of Toronto.
