KRAFT SWITCHES U.S. CEREAL AGENCIES

Kraft Foods of White Plains, New York has changed its mind on who will handle advertising for its Post Grape-Nuts and its Nabisco Shredded Wheat cereals in the U.S. The ad business for these cereals has been switched from FCB/Leber Katz Partners in New York to Grey Advertising, also in New York. FCB, which has had the Nabisco cereal for 10 years, took over the Grape-Nuts assignment last October when Kraft decided to consolidate all adult cereal brands with one agency. In Canada Kraft agencies will all hold on to their current brand assignments, spokesperson Kathy Okawara told Adnews last week. Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto handles advertising for adult cereals, including Grape Nuts and Shredded Wheat. BBDO Canada in Toronto creates ads for kids' cereals, such as Sugar Crisp, Alpha Bits and Shreddies.
