IBM PROMOTES INTERNET
By Adnews Staff
IBM Canada launched a sort of infomercial campaign on radio last week to promote its Internet products and services. The spots have themes such as security, electronic commerce and home page development. The campaign is broken into two series: IBM Innovations and Cyberbreak. Innovations consists of a series of 40-second editorial features and 20-second commercials running in Toronto and Vancouver. Cyberbreak has 90-second editorial features and 30-second ad spots running in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton. "The campaign was developed to provide people with reliable information about the possibilities of the Internet and the types of Internet solutions that are available today from IBM," advertising senior manager Mike Macdonald says in a release. The campaign was created by Ogilvy & Mather Advertising of Toronto.
