New president at Toshiba Canada

Electronics company Toshiba of Canada, based in Markham, ON has appointed Ralph Hyatt to the position of president and CEO. He will begin work on April 1. According to the company, this will be the first time the company has been lead by a Canadian. Hyatt joined Toshiba in 2002 as general manager of the its information systems group. In 2009 he became vice-president and general manager of the digital products division. Hyatt has also worked in sales and marketing at IBM Canada and spent 10 years at Compaq Canada.
