TELEMEDIA HEADS WEST

Telemedia Inc. of Montreal has made its first move into western Canada. The company has signed an agreement to buy Edmonton radio station CFMG 104.9 FM from Balsa Broadcasting Corp. The sale is subject to approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. Telemedia has 26 radio stations in Quebec and Ontario, and publishes 19 consumer magazines.
