Cecchini joins Corus Entertainment

Corus Entertainment of Toronto has hired Mario Cecchini to oversee its radio and conventional television stations in eastern Ontario. He will also be responsible for the Quebec specialty television properties and Ottawa radio stations the company will acquire from Bell and Astral, pending CRTC approval. He will begin work on Sept. 2. He will lead the Montreal office that Corus will soon establish. Cecchini was previously senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Astral Radio. Prior to that, he was vice-president of Corus Quebec. He has also been president and chief operating officer of Zoom Media and executive vice-president of Telemedia Radio Ontario.
