Historia debuts new branding

Corus Media of Montreal has introduced new branding for its specialty television channel Historia. The branding includes a new logo and a new visual style. The rebranding effort coincides with the debut of several new programs on the channel. The logo incorporates the gold-coloured "H" from the logo of US specialty channel History. Corus signed a content agreement with History parent company A&E Networks last year.

"We're thrilled to partner with one of the most prestigious brands in the television business, which is broadcast in over 180 countries," said Mario Cecchini, president of Corus Media. "The agreement will enhance our TV programming with shows that Historia viewers are sure to love. These will be added to our original Quebec-produced content. We have a number of new projects in the pipeline."
