Corus Media signs content deal with A&E Networks

Corus Media of Montreal has signed a content and branding agreement with A&E Networks of New York. Under the terms of the deal, Corus specialty television channel Historia will begin carrying a variety of additional programming from A&E's History channel this winter. Historia will also incorporate the History gold "H" into its logo.

The programming will include television series including Mountain Men, Appalachian Outlaws, Down East Dickering and No Man's Land. Historia already broadcasts several History series, including Pawn Stars, American Pickers, American Restoration and Counting Cars.

"This agreement gives us access to shows that will thrill Historia viewers," said Fabrice Brasier, vice-president of programming at Historia. "These programs will complement our distinctive existing content, which includes original productions produced in Quebec and form the basis of our identity and success."
