Roots of Empathy begins campaign

Toronto-based charitable organization Roots of Empathy has begun a holiday season campaign called “It Takes A Child to Raise a Village.” Developed by Public Inc. of Toronto, the social media campaign will raise funds for the organization’s school-based programs intended to help children develop empathy. The creative consists of a video tour of a miniature holiday village which includes models of people arguing with and ignoring each other. The effort will run until the end of the year.
“Empathy, kindness and imagination are vital for any leader to be able to effectively solve the most complex problems of our society,” said Mary Gordon, founder of Roots of Empathy. “Empathy is the bridge that connects us all and, in our work, we’ve helped over 1.2 million children develop those foundational capacities. Our program is proven to help reduce bullying and aggression, promote resilience and well-being, and positively affect youth mental health.”
