WCB TO CHOSE NEW AD SHOP NEXT MONTH

Six Vancouver agencies are vying for the Workers Compensation Board of B.C. account. They are: incumbent Wasserman & Partners, Palmer Jarvis Advertising, Cossette Communication-Marketing, Bryant, Fulton & Shee, MacLaren: McCann and Grey Advertising. A decision is expected in mid-Oct. The account had been with J. Walter Thompson's Vancouver office for about six years. It moved to Wasserman when the JWT office closed its doors. The JWT account director for the Board, Noreen Kimberley, took the business with her when she moved to Wasserman. The agency chosen will advertise safety awareness and prevention techniques.. Although no ad budget was given, the board told the agencies to work with $1 million for the presentation.
