Central 1 promotes BC credit unions

Central 1, the trade association for credit unions in British Columbia and Ontario, has begun an online campaign called "Be Remarkable." The campaign is being conducted in support of BC's credit unions and is intended to raise awareness among young adults of the services they offer. Visitors to the campaign's Facebook page and website at <http://www.beremarkable.com> can watch a series of videos depicting the ways in which credit unions can help young adults achieve their financial goals. Visitors can also participate in a process by which $100,000 will be distributed to various charities. The campaign, which will run through the fall, also includes online, television and on-campus advertising, developed by Wasserman & Partners Advertising of Vancouver. The online elements were created by Noise Digital of Vancouver. "During the first stage of the campaign we are introducing young adults to credit unions and showing them why credit unions are relevant to them," said Martin Reed, director of marketing and creative services at Central 1. "We want them to understand how we can help them achieve their goals, big or small."
