Transcontinental Media launches digital representation division

Transcontinental Media of Montreal has launched a digital representation division that will sell advertising on a number of online properties. These sites include Transcontinental's own titles, such as Canadian Living and Elle Canada, as well as the properties of US-based Demand Media, which include EHow.com, Livestrong.com and Cracked.com. Transcontinental has signed a two-year agreement with Demand to represent these sites in Canada. "Transcontinental Media's representation house offer is a natural extension for our digital business that builds on our long-term, established relationships with brand marketers and advertisers across Canada," said Dominique-Sébastien Forest, digital vice-president at Transcontinental. "Transcontinental Media's own robust portfolio of online destinations representing premium brands, coupled with key digital publishers like Demand Media, means we deliver greater value to advertisers by offering them more ways to connect with potential customers."
