Transcontinental Media readies Juice

Transcontinental Media is preparing to launch a new media brand called Juice that will focus on healthy living and will be aimed primarily at women. The brand will debut in English Canada in April 2012 with a bi-monthly print magazine, a website, daily and weekly electronic newsletters, social media activities and a digital version aimed at tablet computers. The brand will use the tagline, "Healthy living, made delicious." The editorial content will include recipes, meal ideas, nutrition news, health advice and financial advice. The magazine will have a circulation of 400,000 and will be distributed my mail to Loblaw's customers and on newsstands. "We have developed an innovative, multiplatform publishing model that will allow marketers a unique opportunity to link a mass advertising campaign to an in-store experience," said Lynn Chambers, group publisher at Transcontinental Media. "I look forward to introducing this brand to our business partners as a powerful new way for them to reach a premium audience of high value grocery shoppers."
