Toronto-based Gee Jeffery & Partners has appointed Matthew Stern to the position of president and partner. He has spent 10 years in management positions at McCann-Erickson Worldgroup in New York, Moscow and Prague. Andrew Simon, previously creative director at DDB Canada, has joined GJP as chief creative officer and partner. "Andrew and Matthew's addition signifies a future of great growth and leadership," said agency chairman Alan Gee. "We are enhancing our intellectual capital. Andrew is one of the top creative minds in North America. His ideas transcend traditional advertising solutions. Matthew is a key player in the industry. His global experience and strong knowledge of managing a creative business make him an invaluable member of our team. Together with the existing GJP team, we have established a superior class of talent." Agency co-founder Peter Jeffery will now "step back," according to the company, but will remain an advisor to the firm.
