Wasserman & Partners Advertising gains two clients

Port Metro Vancouver has retained Wasserman & Partners Advertising, also based in Vancouver, as its agency of record. Wasserman won the account in a review process involving an unknown number of contenders. The agency recently conducted a rebranding assignment to amalgamate the city's three Lower Mainland ports, the Fraser River Port Authority, the North Fraser Port Authority and the Vancouver Port Authority, into a single Port Metro Vancouver brand. Wasserman has been the agency for the Vancouver Port Authority for the last nine years. "Our extensive expertise in the local marketplace combined with our genuine understanding of the port's regional, national and global significance in trade and tourism sectors make us a natural fit," said Karen Nishi, vice-president of strategic planning at Wasserman. "That Wasserman was selected once again is a testament to the strength and quality of our relationship."

Granville Island Brewing of Vancouver has also appointed Wasserman & Partners its agency of record. The agency is now working on a summer campaign for the brewer that will begin in May. The initiative will include advertising, merchandising, sponsorships and social media activities. "Granville Island Brewing's tagline is 'It's good to be here,'" said Nishi. "At Wasserman, we have a depth of knowledge and experience in the local marketplace and inherently, we appreciate why it’s good to be here too."
