Canlan Ice Sports, Molson Coors Canada reach marketing agreement

Ice rink operator Canlan Ice Sports of Burnaby, BC has signed an exclusive five-year marketing agreement with Molson Coors Canada. The agreement includes sponsorship, branding and online promotional activities. The Molson Canadian brand will become "The Official Beer of Canlan Ice Sports" and "The Official Beer of the Adult Safe Hockey Network." Various Molson Coors brands will be sold at Canlan venues. The two companies will also participate in joint marketing efforts in support of the Adult Safe Hockey Network. "The adult recreational hockey community is an ideal market for us," said Roy Hryn of Molson Coors Canada. "Through our exclusive marketing agreement with Canlan, we will be able to reach this audience more effectively, develop our brand and engage in innovative promotional activities."
