Simons begins launch campaign for first Ontario store

Quebec City-based fashion retail chain Simons has begun an advertising campaign promoting the opening of its first store in Ontario. The campaign, developed by Cossette, uses the tagline, "Welcome to a style universe." The creative features the brand's leaf-shaped logo and green colours, as well as examples of the store's merchandise. Executions include a mural. posters and transit shelter ads in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as online video pre-roll advertising and social media activities.

"The customer has always been at the heart of everything we do here," said Philippe Normand, vice-president of marketing at Simons. "In a new market like Mississauga, we want people to discover our passion, skill and especially the variety of our collections, created by local and international designers. Above all, we want to spread the message that we have something for every taste and budget."

The store will open today at the Square One shopping mall in Mississauga. Cossette recently developed a similar campaign for Simons' new store in Vancouver, and will continue the initiative for upcoming stores in Calgary, Ottawa and Gatineau.
