GE Appliances begins Monogram promotion with EnRoute

GE Appliances Canada has begun a promotion for its GE Monogram line of kitchen appliances in association with EnRoute, the in-flight magazine of Air Canada. The promotion called "GE Monogram Presents The Chef Series," takes the form of a multi-platform content series profiling seven Canadian chefs and food personalities.

The company developed the promotion in association with Spafax, the publisher of the magazine. It will include a print component in the spring and fall issues of EnRoute, accompanied by videos featuring the participating chefs in a GE Monogram kitchen space. The videos will run on Air Canada's in-flight video system in the fall. The print and video materials will be posted online at <http://enroute.aircanada.com>.

The promotion will also include a contest, which will take place in August in the Maple Leaf Lounge areas of the Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver airports. The lounges will feature displays at which consumers can enter a draw for a trip for two to EnRoute's 2014 Canada's Best New Restaurant event held in Toronto in November.

"GE Monogram is inspired by the love and respect of food and supports causes that bring food to the forefront," said Philippe Meyersohn, general manager of marketing and training at GE Appliances Canada. "We want to focus on Canada's growing love of food and show our appreciation for Canadian chefs. Aligning with EnRoute and their various properties allows us to share our love of food with Canadians across the country."
