Tourism Toronto debuts kids' trip planning website

Tourism Toronto has launched a new website called Yo-Toronto.com. The site takes the form of an interactive trip planner aimed at children. It offers games, activities, videos and information approximately 20 Toronto landmarks and attractions. The site uses a design that adapts to desktop, smartphone or tablet displays. It is intended to be a companion site to the organzation's general interest trip planner at SeeTorontoNow.com. The site was developed by Tourism Toronto in collaboration with SpaFax.

"Planning a trip can be such a powerful part of the learning process that many parents want to provide their kids through travel," said Johanne Bélanger, president and CEO of Tourism Toronto. "Yo-Toronto is a kids-first site meant to give kids the opportunity to participate in the trip planning experience. Toronto is Canada's downtown, offering families the biggest and best attractions and a global diversity of food, festivals and culture. It's an ideal combination of fun and learning, and that should include the part of the trip that happens before the family even gets in to the car or boards the plane."
