Ottawa Senators add new digital signage system at Canadian Tire Centre

The Ottawa Senators have installed a new digital advertising system in the Canadian Tire Centre arena. The system, called Canadian Tire Centre Vision, makes use of technology from Cisco. It consists of approximately 700 high-definition monitors around the venue that will display advertising, event video, social media material, contests and other interactive content. The team will also install two 234-square-foot colour LED screens at the arena's marquee location along Highway 417. Both will carry the same content displayed inside the venue. According to the team, this is the first installation of its kind at a National Hockey League arena in Canada. Similar systems are in use at Yankee Stadium in New York and Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX.

"It has been our commitment to provide fans with the best possible entertainment experience and the addition of these 700 high definition screens will bring our fans' arena experience to a whole new level," said Senators owner Eugene Melnyk. "Our partnerships are paramount in bringing innovation and an increased level of engagement to our fans. Working closely with two of our major partners, Canadian Tire and Cisco, we are exceptionally proud to be the first venue in the National Hockey League to deliver this type of highly specialized multimedia experience."
