Destination Toronto breaks new campaign

Tourism organization Destination Toronto has begun a new campaign called “You Gotta See What We See.” The campaign, aimed primarily at US-based consumers, promotes the city as a travel destination. It consists of videos featuring five Toronto residents, including actor Simu Liu, chef Nick Liu, Toronto Raptors host Mariah Amber, content creator Santee Siouxx and television personality Sonia Mangat. Each video depicts the favorite place in Toronto of one of the participants. The initiative will run until October in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, San Jose, Chicago and Washington DC. This is the organization’s first US-based campaign since 2019.

“Toronto is best experienced by engaging with its people, neighbourhoods, cultures, festivals, cuisine and more,” said Scott Beck, president and CEO of Destination Toronto. “Our role is to share the stories from this incredible city, in this case directly from those who know and love Toronto best, to fuel curiosity and inspire exploration. Our new campaign is a video content series developed to amplify the voices of Toronto insiders, sharing their diverse and authentic local perspectives on what they love about the city.”
