Jack Astor's conducts Work From Patio campaign

Restaurant chain Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill is conducting a campaign called “Work From Patio.” Developed by The Garden of Toronto, the promotion features a custom-built, soundproof booth with a false living room background installed on the patio of a Jack Astor’s location. The campaign consists of a series of social media videos depicting consumers pretending to be working from home via video conference while actually relaxing on the patio. The booth will be moved to various Ontario restaurants during the campaign, for use by customers. In addition, “Work From Patio” backdrops have been installed at the chain’s 37 locations nationally. The campaign also includes out-of-home and digital ads, as well as social media content. Media work is being handled by Cairns Oneil. Jack Astor’s is a subsidiary of SIR.

“Knowing that we needed a campaign that would feel fresh over the four months of patio season, we wanted to create a moving activation to give people that extra push to patio to check it out,” said Lindsay Eady, creative director at The Garden. “Capitalizing on the popularity of soundproof work pods, we thought it would be unexpected and fun to bring one to Jack’s patios. People have been using it, whether it’s employees duping their boss or sometimes vice versa.”
