Rideau Carleton Casino, Ottawa Senators sign agreement

The Ottawa-based Rideau Carleton Casino and the Ottawa Senators hockey team have signed a five-year promotional agreement. The two organizations will collaborate on the creation of a venue called the Hard Rock Club in the Canadian Tire Centre. The 1,500-square-foot space will overlook the ice and will feature a bar and a display of Hard Rock memorabilia. Members of the casino's Rock Star Rewards loyalty program will receive special offers on game tickets, food and Senators merchandise. The agreement also includes promotional activities and events at the casino and the new venue through the hockey season. The agreement was brokered by the Blackiron Agency of Ottawa, which became the casino's branding and media agency in July.

"We have two world-class entertainment giants right here in Ottawa," said Karen Moores, general manager of Blackiron. "Blackiron saw the opportunity to join them together to showcase the caliber of entertainment we have in the city while amplifying their unique offerings. With the new Hard Rock Club, fans can watch a live Sens game at a bar and enjoy the iconic Hard Rock culture all in one place."
