Beauregard named Officer of Order of Canada

Luc Beauregard, founder of National Public Relations and the Res Publica Consulting Group, has been posthumously awarded the title of Officer of the Order of Canada. Beauregard became a Member of the Order of Canada in 1996. He was also named a Knight of the Ordre national du Québec earlier this year. He died in July of this year at the age of 71.
"This award is, in a sense, the ultimate acknowledgment of Luc's remarkable career and outstanding community achievements," Jean-Pierre Vasseur, president and CEO of Res Publica."He not only made an indelible mark on the public relations industry across Canada, but he was also an exemplary citizen who supported many social and humanitarian causes throughout his life, thereby contributing to the well-being of his city, his province and his country."
