EUROPEAN FUJI AGENCIES TO PITCH AGAIN

Japan-based Fuji Film Photo's three newly appointed European agencies in Germany, France and the U.K. will pitch again this fall to develop a TV commercial which may run in several European countries. The three agencies are: SEA of Germany, Scher Lafarge of France and Simons Palmer Clemmow Johnson of the U.K. The company decided against using one agency for Europe because the development of the Fuji brand is at different stages in each of its key European markets. The three agencies will produce print ads for their own countries. Still undecided is the fate of the media buying account in Germany, which is currently handled by Zenith Frankfurt of Germany. Saatchi & Saatchi resigned the Fuji business after it won the Kodak business, but Saatchi will not handle Kodak in Germany. Zenith Frankfurt's contract expires at the end of the year.
