Canada Dry Mott's has signed-on as a sponsor of the Honda Indy Toronto in support of its Dr Pepper brand. This will be the third year that Dr Pepper will be the official soft drink of the auto race. The sponsorship will include an Always One of a Kind Diner, installed at the Dr Pepper Grandstand by the track. Attendees will also be able to a race on a motorized Dr Pepper Cooler Can. The sponsorship also includes a Facebook contest, the winner of which will receive a trip for two to the race. On-site activation is being managed by Boom Marketing, while the Facebook contest is being managed by Veritas Communications. "Every year, our activation at the Honda Indy Toronto just keeps getting better," said Carol Anne Gower, vice-president of marketing and business development at Canada Dry Mott's. "For 2012, we're excited to bring our Always One of a Kind brand positioning to life through the partnership, and to offer fans new ways to engage with the brand whether they're at the track, at one of our retailers or are part of our Facebook community."

In related news, online electronics retailer CDW Canada has signed-on as a sponsor of the Honda Indy Toronto and the Edmonton Indy auto races. As part of the agreement, CDW Canada will sponsor the VIP Club at the Toronto event and have on-track branding in Edmonton and Toronto. "We appreciate the special skill shown by these elite drivers and the sophisticated technology used in racing," said Mary Ann Yule, vice-president and general manager at CDW Canada. "Our support of this thrilling sport has become a tradition for CDW Canada and we're proud to be a part of the Toronto and Edmonton races again." The Honda Indy Toronto will take place from July 6 to 8, while the Edmonton Indy will take place from July 20 to 22.
