Rogers Media hires one, promotes one

Rogers Media of Toronto has appointed Gavin Roth to the newly-created position of vice-president of multiplatform sales. He will provide strategic account leadership for all Rogers Media operations, with a focus on cross-platform sales initiatives across multiple brands. Roth was previously vice-president of sales at Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium. He has also worked for the Canadian Football League, World Wrestling Entertainment, Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO. Rogers has promoted Mitch Dent to the position of executive vice-president of sales for Rogers TV. He will also continue to lead the sales division for Citytv and Omni Television, with added responsibility for Sportsnet and specialty television sales. Dent, who has been with the company for 13 years, has also been president of Today's Parent Group and senior vice-president of sales for consumer publications. He has also worked at Procter & Gamble and Digital Media Networks.
