CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK PICKS AGENCY

The Children's Miracle Network gave its account to Miller Williams Interactive Advertising Inc. of Toronto last week. The agency won the business without a review. "They brought a couple of sponsors to our table about two weeks ago," CMN spokesperson Stephanie Melemis told Adnews yesterday, "and it's just evolved since then." CMN is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for children's hospitals and foundations. Their annual telethon is the largest of its kind in the world. Companies supporting the outfit include TD Bank, Air Canada and Consumers Distributing. Advertising was previously handled by either freelancers or CMN themselves, but "we weren't trained to do everything we wanted to," Melemis said. Miller Williams specializes in interactive direct marketing and promotional activities, as well as in developing alliances for joint marketing campaigns.
