WHITE RIBBON LAUNCHES POSTER CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
The White Ribbon Campaign launched a design contest this week to create a poster for its awareness campaigns for the next two years. The posters will publicize the issue of violence against women and what every man can do to stop it. The contest is open to any individual or company. The white ribbon logo must be the central focus of the poster, and it must use the slogan, "Men Working To End Violence Against Women." The poster should be directed at men and boys and should contain a statement regarding the organization's pledge, which states that wearing a white ribbon means that a man will not commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women. The contest closes at the end of September. The White Ribbon Campaign is a charitable organization formed in 1989. Its goal is to get men working to end men's violence against women.
