Shannon McPeak has been appointed advertising sales manager at The Globe and Mail, where she will be responsible for the technology, telecommunications and industrial categories. In addition she will handle advertising sales for The Wall Street Journal in Canada. Most recently McPeak was at The Globe's Montreal branch, where she was Eastern Canada advertising sales manager. Francois Laganiere replaces McPeak as Eastern Canada advertising sales manager. He will be responsible for selling ads in Ottawa, Quebec and Atlantic Canada for The Globe and Report on Business magazine. Previously he was publisher of TV Hebdo for Les Editons Telémédia Inc. of Montreal. He has also been sales and marketing vice-president for Télécité Montréal Inc. and Télévision Quatre Saisons, as well as television national sales director at Cogeco Inc.
