CTV begins Live the Drama contest

CTV has begun a contest promotion called "Live the Drama" to promote its fall programming schedule. Viewers are invited to enter the online contest by completing "missions" derived from five programs: Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, CSI, ER and Dancing With the Stars. Each mission requires the participants to upload a specified photograph or a video of themselves to an online gallery. Five finalists for each show will be selected by public voting, then five winners will be selected by a judging panel. Each winner will receive a trip based on the show in question. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Canadian viewers to win exclusive trips to the sets of their beloved television shows," said Susanne Boyce, president of creative, content and channels at CTV. "With such a fun contest, we can't wait to see what creative ideas our viewers come up with in order to win these exclusive prizes." The contest is being promoted with a 30-second television commercial and online materials at CTV.ca. The initiative was developed by the CTV Creative Agency.
