CBC, Frito-Lay begin Brit Awards promotion

CBC Television and Frito-Lay have begun a joint promotion involving the 2007 Brit Awards. During the promotion, viewers of CBC program The Hour and consumers of Doritos can enter a contest for a trip for two to London, England to attend the awards on Feb. 14. In-store materials in 120 HMV retail locations nationally are directing customers to watch The Hour during the week of Jan. 29 for Brit Awards trivia questions, the answers to which must be submitted through the show’s website at <http://www.cbc.ca/thehour>. As part of the joint promotion, Doritos will have commercial exclusivity during the CBC broadcast of the awards show. The promotion was arranged by OMD.
