The Institute of Communication Agencies announced the winners of the 2009 Cassies awards last night. The Grand Prix winner was Frito-Lay North America and Juniper Park for its Sunchips "Becoming a Pre-eminent Green Brand" campaign. The campaign also won gold awards in the Packaged Goods Food and Success Outside Canada categories. Leo Burnett and James Ready Brewing won gold awards in the Seasonal Events and Small Budget categories. BBDO, Proximity and Frito Lay Canada won gold awards in the Seasonal Events and Best Launch categories for their "Doritos Guru" campaign. DDB Canada and Bayer won golds in the Off to a Good Start and Prescription Pharmaceuticals categories for their Yasmin campaign. DDB Canada and Subaru Canada won golds in the Auto and Best Integrated categories for their Subaru Impreza campaign. Additional gold award winners included: Narrative Advocacy Media, Bensimon Byrne and the Trillium Gift of Life Network in the Seasonal Events category; Dentsu Canada and Canadian Scooter in the Best Media category; Target Marketing and Communications and Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism in the Best Insight category; Taxi Canada and Koodo Mobile in the Best Launch category; Taxi Canada and Harlequin Enterprises in the Success Outside Canada category; Leo Burnett and Procter & Gamble in the Sustained Success category; Taxi Canada and Mini Canada in the Sustained Success category.
