ICA joins Chamber of Commerce

The Toronto-based Institute of Communication Agencies has joined the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. According to the organization, this membership will allow it to represent the viewpoint of Canadian marketing, media and public relations agencies to the federal government with regard to issues such as tax incentives and talent development support.
“It is high time that the Canadian agency sector has a seat at the table and better recognition from the federal government on the key issues and concerns of our members,” said Scott Knox, president and CEO of the institute. “Canada’s agency sector is a major force in the economy. Through the Chamber of Commerce, the federal government and other business sectors can expect to hear a lot more from us.”
