Powershifter adds two, promotes one
Vancouver-based digital agency Powershifter has recently hired two new staff members and promoted a third. Tom Giannelli has joined the firm in the newly-created position of director of delivery. He was most recently the principal of Taproot Business Consulting. Prior to that, he was a senior project manager at Compugen and a corporate applications projects manager at Interfor. Giannelli has also worked at ImageX Media, Appnovation Technologies and Long View Systems.
John Owen has been appointed director of design. He was most recently an associate creative director at Blast Radius. Before that, he was a senior designer at Simon Fraser University and a designer and developer at Creative Spirit Communications and the David Suzuki Foundation. He has also worked as a freelance designer.
Rich Morgan has been promoted to the position of director of client strategy. He joined the agency in 2013 as director of digital delivery. Prior to that, he was a recruitment consultant for Nakama Global and digital marketing director at Ignition Asia, both based in Hong Kong. Morgan has also been director of digital and social media for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macao, a producer for Tribal DDB and a project manager at Blast Radius.
