ICA, Bell Media begin IDEA competition

The Institute of Communication Agencies and Bell Media have launched a new competition called IDEA, which is an acronym for “inclusivity, diversity and equity in advertising.” The competition is intended to “celebrate diversity,” with a focus this year on Indigenous communities in advertising, according to the institute. Brands and agencies can enter for the chance to win $1 million worth of media inventory on Bell Media television, radio, out-of-home and digital properties to use for an advertising campaign in 2021. Entries are required to be new creative executions that show how diverse producers, directors, writers and crew contribute to the campaign. Entrants must also commit to demonstrating that inclusion and diversity are “components across all of their advertising, even when not the key message.” Submissions will be open until April 23 at <https://www.theica.ca/en/idea-competition-entry>.
